Terry-Anne Graham

I started in hotel operations and that gave me the opportunity to really understand the business before IT even existed within the hospitality sector. I was lucky enough to be put on the team that rolled out the first based IT hotel system in South Africa when the hotel I worked at took the digital leap. Following from there was a series of IT roles both externally and then within Southern Sun, my home, until reaching IT Director. In terms of projects, there is nothing better to teach you how to run a project than opening a new hotel from ground foundations, infrastructure, applications & integration until welcoming your first guest. A new hotel development has many intricate project management components and most importantly the management of people and their deliverables. A true testament to the Agile model as it is known today.

Southern Sun operates a PMO office and we are extremely proud how we many projects we deliver on time, within budget and without doubt - “creeping scope”.
