Essentials for PMO Analysts is a practical course, designed to provide learners with the knowledge required to perform in a PMO Analyst role.

In a time of accelerating change, effective PMOs, can help deliver successful projects, programmes and portfolios. The PMO Analyst supports the PMO Manager to deliver these initiatives. They also support the Project, Programme or Portfolio Manager and their teams with co-ordination planning, control, reporting, analysis, and insights.

House of PMO have developed this five-day course which explains to learners the responsibilities which sit with a PMO Analyst and highlights what knowledge, skills and behaviours are needed to be effective in this role.

Essentials for PMO Analysts Training and Certification is aimed at current PMO Analysts and those moving from project management into a PMO role. Candidates should have foundation level knowledge of project, programme or portfolio management.

Who is Essentials for PMO Analysts for?

Current or aspiring PMO Analysts. The training and certification is also appropriate for those moving from project management into a PMO role.

Are there any prerequisites?

You need foundational level knowledge of projects, programmes or portfolios – any formally recognised Project Management certification at Foundation level  or above will be accepted. For example:

  • Essentials for PMO Administrator Certification.
  • A Foundation Certificate in AgilePM®, APM PFQ, CAPM, MSP, PgMP®, PM4SD™, PMQ, PMP®, Praxis Framework™ or PRINCE2®. 
  • Any other Project Management certificate at a Foundation level (including internal or non-certified courses)

It is possible to earn PMI Education PDUs for attending third-party provider training (training courses not offered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner), as long as the training meets the requirements around the skill areas of the PMI Talent Triangle.
