APMG-International is privileged to have been awarded the global certification rights to new certification, The PS Professional.
The PS Professional is the world’s first non-vendor specific programme that develops and certifies both the technical and non-technical skills of professional services professionals, principally in the IT and Telecoms industries.
The PS Professionals certification has been introduced to reinforce individuals’ existing skills and competencies – thereby increasing their value through tangible proof of expertise. The certification has been designed to complement and enhance any other certifications the individual already possesses.
PS Professional was created by Gary Gamp, aspiring to address the crucial requirement for technical and non-technical expertise in today’s professional services world. Gary Gamp is a respected professional services practitioner and leader with a 25-year global track record with the likes of BT, AT&T, Orange and COLT.
Gary said, “The responsibilities of a 21st century PS professional are increasingly commercial and I have devised this programme to provide colleagues in the industry with a thorough assurance methodology that we aim to become the global standard for PS excellence."

PS Professional is split into five separate modules – each reinforcing the knowledge and skills needed to excel in a particular specialization. Candidates can choose to be certified in one or more of these modules – with the option to be certified at Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional level for each module.
The five modules that candidates can be certified against are Athlete, Executive, Rainmaker, Authority and Catalyst. The different modules reinforce specific skillsets depending on the candidates’ field and ability. For example, Athlete is aimed at professionals looking to improve their ability to be agile in demanding business environments – while the Authority module strengthens expertise in IT.
PS Professional provides a free online assessment – supporting potential candidates to make an informed decision on which module(s) to get certified in.
APMG continues to accredit an international network of accredited PS Professional training providers. Individuals interested in getting certified can register their interest with APMG – who will then get in touch with a suitably located accredited PS Professional trainer.
