APMG’s PM4SD (Project Management for Sustainable Development) courses are now available online to candidates. This has been possible through a partnership between Jlag, an APMG accredited ATO and TrainingAid, an international tourism e-learning company specializing in sustainable tourism.
Silvia Barbone, Director of the Foundation for European Sustainable Tourism (FEST) in support of the online training said that, "Sustainable tourism projects must deliver benefits for all stakeholders and achieve lasting impacts and PM4SD offers a proven approach to effective project management, tailored specifically to the tourism sector.”
FEST which is the scheme owner for the certification has developed the PM4SD framework with an aim to empower project managers, policy makers and entrepreneurs with the right tools and techniques to better plan, manage and execute sustainable tourism projects ensuring long-term success.
While PM4SD courses have been delivered since 2013 in Europe and beyond; the upcoming courses scheduled for Spring and Summer 2018 are the first of their kind to be delivered full-online by Jlag and TrainingAid. This certification is an important benchmark for sustainable tourism practitioners, demonstrating their abilities to design innovative tourism projects and to deliver successful outcomes and lasting benefits.
PM4SD courses are offered over a 4-week period via an interactive online course format, including video lessons, tools and resources, group exercises and live presentations as part of the training. This enables candidates to meet the requirements essential to undertake the exams while fulfilling the high-quality standards as set by APMG International.
The online PM4SD Foundation-level courses (offered twice in 2018) are now open for registration.
- PM4SD Foundation Course: Spring term from Feb 19 – March 16, 2018
- PM4SD Foundation Course: Summer term from May 7 – June 1, 2018
