Martin Smith

Managing Director, Cyber Prism

Aberdeen, UK

During a 33-year military career, Martin worked extensively in maritime security and information superiority. He led Britain’s maritime counter-terrorism force, modernised the Royal Marines’ information and intelligence capability, commanded multi-national counter-piracy operations and was responsible for Britain’s amphibious force. He spent three periods in Afghanistan in addition to several other deployments around the World. He commanded service personnel at every rank and left the Armed Forces in January 2018 having led the nation’s 7,000 Royal Marines as their Commandant General.

Martin became MD of Cyber Prism in December 2019, introducing SaaS products and services which help companies come to grips with the security of their operational technology.

Martin's proudest achievement: Adopting two children who desperately needed a permanent home and who are now forging very different lives from those which they would otherwise have lived.

Tim Harwood is a veteran of the security world and has been providing information security guidance and expertise to corporate clients, the UK Government and the UK military for over 40 years. As CEO of Siker Limited, he provides direction for the company which he founded in 2013.

Tim’s professional background includes security capability strategy planning and development, information security capability framework design and implementation and security awareness strategy design and implementation. He has developed a security professional development framework for a global top ten oil and gas company, delivers training as a member of the SANS and QA faculties and, as a thought leader, regularly presents at summits and conferences.

Tim is a Full member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (MCIIS), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and is the holder of the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC).
