Gen Z is questioning if certification is of more value than a degree
Awareness of professional development is growing in a younger demographic – recently highlighted in this Forbes article reporting that GenZ’s are weighing up the value of certification over and above the investment in time and money to obtain a degree. Many feel that certification will give them a greater chance of finding a job than a degree.
At the outset, APMG asked in-house GenZ-ers to launch the channel – Sarah Burch, Digital Media and Content Exec who worked on the launch and graphics says “at launch, the focus of APMG’s Instagram page was to grow our audience and interact with candidates, industry professionals and training organisations across the globe. We tested the market by focusing inspirational quotes, candidate feedback and the promotion of charity activities which APMG supports”
Building on this, the channel is now being led by APMG’s Southern European and Polish market leads, Chiara Mainolfi and Dr Sabina Bieniecka, who are piloting new post formats and content to understand what the channel’s audience most wants to see.
Whilst we understand that these are not huge numbers for a channel like this, we are delighted to see the momentum building and excited to see the growth on this channel.
Followers are treated to inspiration and insights from thought leaders around the globe as well as details of articles, resources, content, #ShareYourSuccess posts, training opportunities and online events such as webinars and conferences. We are still learning and appreciate your likes and comments to guide us in our efforts to providing the right content.
