I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well.
At APMG, I am pleased to share that, amidst the chaos, we are focused on helping our training community to continue to serve their clients and doing whatever we can to look after the welfare and future of our staff despite, like all businesses, having to take some difficult decisions.
We have made the necessary provisions to ensure that there is very little disruption to business (and in some cases, have enhanced priorities in specific areas to cope with demand).
I’d like to take this opportunity to share some thoughts that I have witnessed personally during this genesis of a new business landscape:-
- As countries have entered lock down there is a 2 to 3 week period before organizations pass through the initial shock and get back to working again. We have seen our colleagues in China successfully come through this period and start growing again.
- A higher value placed on partner relationships.
- The generosity and acceptance of colleagues to ‘do what it takes’ in order to look after one another, our partners and clients.
- Training companies that have been digitally prepared, continuing to offer online, blended and virtual training options from homes instead of offices.
- Those who were not quite so prepared, adapting quickly to offer their services online.
- Partners and training companies providing support and guidance for innovative initiatives to overcome various barriers.
- The resilience of individuals continuing to focus on enhancing their knowledge and skills.
- The pride in sharing our digital badges; a symbol of achievement bringing new opportunities, praise and support
It is apparent that many of our core Professional Development courses and qualifications can help businesses to not only manage the current situation but evolve to handle their future opportunities when we finally come out of this global storm.
Our curve upwards, together with our partners and broader community has already started. More than ever, we’re all in this together and what we are experiencing together will change the way we do business in the future.
