    FAQs

The ASL® examination is currently available in Dutch and English. Further translations will be progressed subject to market demand.

The Application Services Library (ASL®) framework, developed by DID Foundation (formerly ASL BiSL Foundation), provides guidance with supporting best practices for designing and carrying out effective application management.

There are many methodologies supporting IT management and IT service management. Application management has received little consideration over the years in contrast to system development and infrastructure management. ASL’s purpose is to bridge this gap.

Candidates must achieve a score of 26/40 (65%) to pass.

The qualifications are not valid for a defined period and will not expire.

For individuals self-studying it is almost impossible to say. As all candidates have different experience and amount of time available for study, it varies from person to person. We suggest you buy the supporting publication and have a look through for yourself before deciding how long you need to spend learning.

For those studying with an accredited training organization, courses are generally delivered over 3 days. We recommend investigating with individual providers, as some may offer tailored and blended learning solutions.

The ASL® Foundation exam structure is:

    • 40 multiple choice questions
    • 60 minutes duration
    • Pass mark: 26 out of 40 (65%)
    • Closed book

The ASL2 - A Framework for Application Management publication is currently available in Dutch and English.

Since 2018, we are no longer registered for AXELOS qualifications and are unable to provide the certificates.

If you received your AXELOS qualification before this time, you can contact customer service and upon providing your candidate number, ask if a copy of your certificate still exists in our system.

Alternatively, you can reach out to IT PeopleCert directly with this request quoting your candidate number.

If you do not have your candidate number, we can provide it to you. Additionally, we are happy to provide a letter of verification for any exams sat with us.

Your results will be processed 6 to 12 hours after your exam. You will receive an email confirming your achievement and inviting you to the Candidate Portal where you can see your official result. From there, you can create your account in Credly.com and access your digital badge and certificate.

Your training organization specified that they wish to view candidate results before releasing. If you would like your results sooner, you may contact your ATO directly and request your results that way. After they have released them, you will be able to create/view your Digital Badge and download your Digital Certificate in your Credly account in the Certificates section of your portal.
