ASPECT members vote APMG the BEST of three PPM Exam Providers in the UK

In the first ASPECT member market trends census report APMG came top of three Programme Project Management exam providers in the UK. Respondents ranked APMG’s customer service and efficiency as good or excellent.

Members completing the report said about APMG, “They are closer to the market and therefore understand well the requirements for training and examination. They are not a faceless organisation and they are willing to speak and work with you to address issues.”

ASPECT said, “APMG did significantly better than the benchmark and the APMG results were outstanding in regarding customer service and innovation.”

Survey reveals that business is bouyant

The survey revealed that business is buoyant, with almost half of respondents stating that company turnover was higher than the same period last year. Reasons for the increase included a strong demand from the public sector and local businesses. Those with experienced sales teams and an investment in marketing were able to develop new markets and increase turnover.

Those businesses who experienced a downturn cited premature market announcements causing clients to delay decisions, Austerity cuts, Brexit and the apprenticeship levy as having the largest impact.

Respondents were very positive about the future. Over 80% of businesses expected turnover to be higher or similar to the previous 12 months. Several members stated Agile as a strong area of interest from customers. To deliver growth, pricing strategies would be the same, indicating a strong market. Only 25% thought they would need to increase pricing and 13% though they would need to lower prices.

With regards to the future of learning, respondents were in agreement that e-learning and ­­virtual training are key growth areas, with a notable decline in classroom and face to face courses. Another key trend was a decline in customers booking legacy products such as PRINCE2. The majority of respondents stated that agile and APM products were the largest growth area.
