Completing the House of PMO Essentials suite of certifications!

The launch of Essentials for PMO Directors training is in response to the arrival of the project economy and the need for a key senior leader overseeing all project activities within each organisation becoming widespread.

In a recent Harvard Business Review article, Antonio Nieto Rodrigues wrote about how many organisations are creating such a role. Rodrigues continued “Their mandates and exact titles differ, but their primary responsibilities remain the same: to drive major strategic projects in the organization and streamline the project portfolio to accelerate growth and value creation.”

Due to the growing demand for these roles APMG and House of PMO have created this course specifically for those new to the role or who aspire to be a PMO Director. The Essentials for PMO Directors two-day course provides learners with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to be effective in their day-to-day role. PMO Directors are also often referred to as the Head of the PMO, the Head of Project Management or Portfolio Directors.

This course completes a suite of certifications, targeting the four key roles in PMOs – Essentials for PMO Administrators, Essentials for PMO Analysts, Essentials for PMO Managers, and Essentials for PMO Directors. All of these practical courses focus on developing individuals, rather than the PMO.

The Essentials for PMO Directors Training courses and certification are immediately available through PMO Learning and will be available through additional Accredited Training Providers in the coming months.
