A broad and varied skillset is required to deliver optimum results.
What makes a great Project Manager?
To be really effective at what they do, project managers require skills in a broad range of areas. There are many ways individuals can go about developing and improving these skills. One option is training and certification.
In this presentation, we look at a selection of key skills a great Project Manager needs to ensure that:
- Products and solutions are developed that - as much as possible - meet the requirements of all stakeholders;
- Projects are delivered on time, at cost, and to budget;
- Project stakeholders are effectively managed and engaged;
- Those impacted by the project’s deliverables and outcomes are listened to and engaged.
We know there are many more skills required; this is not an exhaustive list! There are a range of soft skills, for example, that are also vital, such as teamwork, empathy & communication. The presentation highlights those that have a clear link to training and certification options available via APMG and our global network of accredited training organizations (ATOs).
