New Online Training Course for global certification program on PPPs
17th August 2016
APMG International is pleased introduce a free online training course to support APMG's Public-Private Partnerships Certification Program.
The Online Training Course is designed as a learning resource to assist candidates studying for the APMG PPP Certification Program's Foundation exam - it is available for free on the certification program's dedicated website.
APMG's PPP Certification Program was launched to address the absence of a global certification on PPPs and to promote the adoption of PPP good practices with an internationally recognized credential (CP3P).
APMG's PPP Certification Program is an innovation and a collaboration between the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) and the World Bank Group (WBG). The program is part funded by the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF).
The Foundation level exam tests candidates have a suitable understanding of Chapter 1 of the certification program's body of knowledge, the PPP Certification Program Guide. This understanding will enable candidates to act as informed members of a PPP finance project.
The new online training offers a flexible approach to learning with a simple and clear online course, designed to take students through the full CP3P Foundation syllabus. This exciting initiative provides a valuable opportunity for candidates to test and build their knowledge of managing and delivering PPPs globally.
Test questions are provided at the end of each module to help enhance a candidate’s learning and there is also an exam simulator at the end of the course. Candidates are able to study at their own pace.
As the online training course is a self-study initiative, there is no tutor support available and it is therefore recommended that candidates attend an accredited training course if they want additional support from a trainer with subject matter expertise.
Work is currently underway to develop the Preparation and Execution level exams. Once all three of the APMG PPP Certification Program examinations are available – successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain the Certified Public-Private Partnerships Professional (CP3P) credential – providing them with global recognition of PPP proficiency.
