APMG International is proud to announce that it has achieved Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard for the third time. The award reflects APMG’s commitment to ongoing excellence and creating a culture in which employees feel valued, supported and inspired.

IIP accredits organizations against its standard for improved people management which is held by 14,000 organizations worldwide. IIP’s standard is, ‘underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structure required to outperform in any industry.’

Achieving IIP accreditation confirmed that APMG’s continuous improvement is a result of developing people throughout the business. Achieving the Gold standard gives prospective employees and clients a higher degree of confidence in APMG’s services – thereby consolidating its position as a quality driven organization.

During an IIP assessment carried out at APMG’s global headquarters in High Wycombe, an employee explained how the organization’s managers are empathetic towards peoples’ varied preferred ways of working, highlighting that, “People feel their differences are valued.”

Another success which contributed to APMG’s Gold award is that employees’ attitude is in alignment with the organization’s core values – which include: ‘Apply excellence and integrity to everything we do’, ‘respect and trust all those we work with’ and ‘work collaboratively and honestly with all others.’

The Gold standard represents a celebration of all the positive efforts made throughout the organization and recognizes the commitment of those involved. The standard also defines what is required to lead, support and manage people for sustainable results – reflected in the successes the organization has recently experienced.

The IIP assessor discovered people are encouraged to accept accountability and learn from their mistakes and as a result feel empowered to make their own decisions.

Their managers’ trust is clearly communicated, which provides them with the confidence to embrace challenges and innovate. The culture of managed risk and collaboration supports innovation and subsequently the business has improved and grown from strength to strength.
