Confused by the requirements of the Cyber Essentials scheme? We’ve got you covered.
The Cyber Essentials scheme was never meant to be the ‘be all end all’ when it comes to Cyber security solutions, it was designed in response to the Government's ‘10 steps to Cyber Security’ as a minimum standard of what every organisation can implement to protect themselves against the most basic and every day attacks.
When you’re completing your application on the portal you will be prompted to complete the Cyber Essentials Illustrative questionnaire; the latest version of Cyber Essentials available from the NCSC.
If your questionnaire is satisfactory, your organisations’ certification is granted instantly. You can find help for completing the questions on our free download here or on the video series below.
The questions will cover the following areas:
- Boundary Firewalls
- Secure Configuration
- Access Control
- Patch Management
- Password-Based authentication
- Anti-Malware Software
We host the 40 Cyber Essentials questions for free on our online portal
